Paul Apostol

I am a retired business executive. I started fencing at NYU and was NCAA champion (1967) and IFA Champion (1968). I fenced at two Olympics- 1972 (8th place), 1976 (13th), the 1973 Pan American Games (2nd - Team) and was US National Senior Champion in 1973. I fenced on every US World Championship and World Cup Team from 1972-1977.

I retired from fencing for 28 years and came back to the sport in 2004 as Boys Coach of Ramapo H.S. I resumed fencing myself in 2005, winning the US National Veterans Championship (50-59) that year, and again in 2007 (60+). I won the World Veterans Championship (60+) in 2006 and 2007.

Having participated in the sport as a college fencer, an Olympian, a coach and now as a Veteran fencer, I believe I can benefit all NJ fencers by bringing a number of different perspectives to management of the Division.
